GPS is thrilled and immensely proud to share that our CEO, Donna Raucher, has been honored with the Advertising Specialty Institute's Bess Cohn Humanitarian of the Year Award, recognizing her outstanding contributions to the Las Vegas community with her work at local charity, Living Grace Homes. Since 2018, Donna has volunteered weekly at Living Grace, an organization that offers transitional housing and social services for young mothers. Living Grace was founded in 2007 to provide resources for young, pregnant, unhoused women between the ages of 14 and 24 and has since expanded its mission to support young moms while they complete school and work to build professional skills. The non-profit also helps young mothers who are survivors of sex trafficking.
Donna helps Living Grace with some back-office work, but also works very closely with the women in the shelter. She especially enjoys spending time with the young women's children so they can do other tasks and chores. "I basically get to hold babies" - she'll tell you if you ask about her volunteer work - "it's wonderful". In addition to volunteering her time, she ensures extra items in GPS's warehouse, like bedding and kitchenware, are donated to the women who are graduating from the program and moving out on their own. Donna has also recruited her mother, Marion, to knit baby clothes for the little ones at Living Grace.
In addition to her work with Living Grace, Donna is an avid supporter of the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation - which provides disadvantaged children with new shoes and socks - and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
This well-deserved recognition comes as no surprise to those of us who have had the privilege of working closely with Donna. Her unwavering dedication to making a difference in the lives of others is hard to miss. Let's continue to follow Donna's inspiring example and work together to create a brighter, more compassionate world for everyone.
